MicroUnit is a company specialized in the design, manufacture and sale of machining equipment for the eyewear industry.
MicroUnit is the subsidiary company of OAXA Ltd. – France.
The partners are all engineers, with already a long experience of high-tech machines.
This explains the highly technical profile of MicroUnit as, which is a conscious effort to achieve technical excellence day after day, 50% of our resources are dedicated to R&D.
We design the 5th generation Cad-Cam software: Lona5, the electronics with the A400 board, the numerical control and the mechanics. On each link of the chain, OAXA and MicroUnit have introduced innovations: ”Downstream Process”, ”Numerical control by interruption”, HF heating ”with automatic controlled tuning”, etc.
This integration and these complementary skills throughout the design chain enable technical optimizations which are above all – and first of all – made for our customers.
Software, electronic and mechanical design is made by OAXA Ltd. and MicroUnit, then subcontracted to long-standing partners. Those partners are located in France when it’s for European market, or more and more in the US when for North American market. Followed by assembly, wiring, calibration and final testing at our Staten Island facilities.
